ArcWeb -- Mailing Lists

Mailing Lists

There is a moderated mailing list to which users can subscribe in order to receive
announcements of new versions via e-mail.

Subscribing

To subscribe to the mailing list, you need to
send an e-mail to
arcweb-announce-request@ecs.soton.ac.uk with the message containing:

<kbd>subscribe</kbd>

Only
new version announcements, fatal bug alerts, and the like will be posted to
the list.

Unsubscribing

To unsubscribe, alter the command to <kbd>unsubscribe</kbd>. You will not be
able to post messages to that list because it is moderated. You cannot
unsubscribe by posting to the list and
asking to be removed. Only you can do that (when you subscribe, instructions
will be e-mailed to you telling you how to unsubscribe)

Bouncing E-mail

If messages to your e-mail address bounce repeatedly, you may be removed from
the lists without warning. (This policy is automatically enforced by the
mailing list management software).

Abuse

Any abuse of the mailing list facility kindly made available by my department to me
will result in severe action being taken by me, and if very serious, by my department.

Admin

I reserve the right to terminate the mailing list facility at any time. I may transfer
the list to another host in the future. If this happens, a posting to the list will
advise of the changes.
